Twenty-six-year-old ordinary employee Lin You discovers that A Xu, a narrator only she can see, suddenly goes off-script and reveals in advance that she is set to enter a cliché romance. Refusing to live by the script, Lin You begins rewriting her choices starting from a blind date. She brings this newfound clarity back to the workplace, learning to define clear boundaries of responsibility and reject pointless overtime and vague demands. Accompanying her, A Xu gradually sheds the compulsion to manufacture conflict and dramatic climaxes, learning to respect ordinary life and genuine choices, while Zhou Jian also breaks free from his predetermined character arc with poise and restraint.
