Zhizhi, a young disciple of Guiyuan Mountain, fell asleep at eight years old and woke up five hundred years later. Carrying an old lunchbox, a wooden token, and twelve spiritual coins, she descends the mountain to find the six little spirit beasts she took in back then: Yindou, Huahua, Jinbao, Tangjiao, Manman, and Heiqiu. The six beasts have grown into the Sword Venerable, Pill Ancestor, Mystic Emperor, Demon Sovereign, Formation Saint, and Nether Lord, yet each is trapped guarding a realm seal under a forbidden oath, unable to return home. Zhizhi awakens the Six Luminaries with the Origin Heart of Ten Thousand Dharmas, uniting the Seven Luminaries into an array to purify the Beast God of Guixu. In the end, breaking free from their seals, the six return to Guiyuan Mountain with her to share a reunion meal.
