Destitute girl Wenjing arrived in the city only to be robbed and left stranded. A kind stranger, A Le, went all out to help her, even misappropriating company funds to scrape together life-saving medical expenses for her mother. Because of this, A Le lost his job, broke his leg working at a construction site to pay off the debt, and spent half his life in hardship. Years later, the girl returned as a successful businesswoman to repay the kindness, only to discover that the favor back then cost him his entire life.
