"Western Sky Technology Worker" is a 30-episode two-dimensional workplace comedy mini-series. The four disciples of Journey to the West time-travel to the modern era, joining the nearly bankrupt Xitian Technology—Sun Wukong serves as the technical director, Zhu Bajie does administration, Sha Seng handles operations, Bai Longma acts as the driver, and boss Tang Tang draws pie-in-the-sky promises every day. Taking boomerang jokes, puns, and deadpan nonsense as its core formula, each episode hits a workplace worker's pain point—delayed wages, mandatory overtime, weekend team building, and KPI evaluations. Wukong uses the boss's logic to reverse-kill the boss. The Journey to the West disciples time-travel to the modern workplace, refuting the boss's empty promises with boomerang logic and acting out a worker's entire year.
