When the Cicadas Sing, I Led the Whole Village to Prosperity (56 episodes)

After failing the college entrance exam, Chen Xiangdong faced ridicule from his fellow villagers but spotted a business opportunity in cicada nymphs. By selling fried cicadas at the night market, he earned his first pot of gold, only to face harassment from local village thugs and bullies. Undeterred, Chen Xiangdong stepped up, contracted barren hills, and mastered temperature-controlled cicada breeding techniques. Overcoming rainstorms and framing by competitors while staying true to his original aspiration and quality, he later shared his breeding techniques and spearheaded a cooperative. Leading the villagers out of poverty, he turned the once-barren hills into a treasure trove, letting the little golden cicadas sing a new song of rural prosperity.
