Su Wanqing, the heiress of Su Real Estate, returns home from studying abroad only to find that Liu Guilan, the family housekeeper of eighteen years, has usurped her mother's place. Dressed in her late mother's heirlooms and acting as the lady of the house, Liu Guilan goes as far as locking Wanqing in the basement, plotting to sell her off for profit. Fighting back from the brink, Wanqing teams up with her father, Su Zhenbang, to set a trap, gathering evidence to bring Liu Guilan and her son to justice and uncovering the truth behind her mother's chronic poisoning by Liu Guilan years ago.
