Lin Xiaoman, a top music graduate from the city, returns to her hometown only to find her grandfather's Lin Family Suona Troupe on the verge of disbanding. The musicians were poached by Zhao Jinwang for his electronic band, and her grandfather's hands shake from the grief of losing his son, throwing their heritage into crisis. Determined to preserve the roots of the suona, Xiaoman picks up the instrument she set aside years ago, starting from scratch to shave reeds and train her breath. Supported by her friend Su Xiaohe and veteran player Chen Agu, she sets up a contest against Zhao Jinwang. Through triumphs over adversity, lingering resentments are resolved, and traditional suona merges harmoniously with electronic sounds on the Harvest Festival stage. The new generation carries the torch forward, ensuring the ancient sound of the suona echoes across their native soil once more.
