Where Begonias End, the Blade Appears: Reborn Once More to Cut Ties with the Past
Shen Changning, the youngest daughter of the Minister's Manor, wrongly married Pei Xingzhou. When she fell into the water, her husband saved her elder sister Shen Changshu first. She suffered the loss of her child and became unable to conceive again, later discovering that both her marriage and the falling incident were schemes by the two. Reborn, she resolves to rewrite her destiny, using a poetry gathering to expose their illicit affair and making the schemers reap what they sow. Dissatisfied, Shen Changshu colludes with the vassal Prince Yu, pressing forward step by step with poison and hired assassins. Shen Changning calmly navigates the situation, and after Pei Xingjian defects, screens the evidence, bypassing the vassal's faction to hand it over to a neutral censor. Ultimately, the emperor issues a decree, the guilty face justice, and the Shen family is preserved. Refusing to be a pawn, Shen Changning fights for independence in marriage and personal property; though rumors are hard to quell, she calmly heads south, holding her destiny in her own hands.
