A pregnant white dragon is plotted against and hunted down by a pack of wolves, but at the brink of death, she is rescued by the orphan girl Shen Yunniang. Fatally injured, the white dragon lays an egg before dying and entrusts her newborn to Shen Yunniang, who names him Bai Nianchuan and raises him with tender care. Born with innate goodness, the little white dragon quietly protects his foster mother, yet his unique identity attracts suspicion from villagers and an investigation by the monk Xuanming. After surviving a perilous lightning tribulation, Bai Nianchuan successfully transforms into human form and joins Xuanming in uncovering the truth behind his birth mother's death—discovering that the eminent monk Xuanji committed the crime to seize the dragon essence. Ultimately letting go of hatred, he forgives his enemy, carries forward loving kindness, and remains in the countryside alongside Shen Yunniang and Xuanming, warming the world with benevolence.
