A strange omen triggers an earthquake, forcing Tang Shu to save her son while having to abandon her daughter. Separated from her family, the daughter is left with only a lucky bag necklace as a clue to find her roots. Adopted by the Ji family, the daughter grows up to become a CEO and seeks to make her birth mother experience the very despair she suffered back then. Meanwhile, the adoptive mother turns malicious to keep her daughter all to herself, framing and shoving the birth mother. A heart surgery leads Ji Anran to uncover the hidden truth behind the past. Confronted with reality, the bond between mother and daughter falls into turmoil—whether they can let go of the past and rekindle their familial love, or remain trapped in resentment as strangers forever, remains completely unknown.
