Hehua, a modern pet owner and corporate worker, unexpectedly travels through time into the universally despised Empress of Great Yan and becomes bound to a Tyrant System. As long as she exhausts the nation's fortune, she can resurrect her beloved pets who died early. To bring her fur babies home as soon as possible, Hehua embarks on a daily routine of courting death in creative ways. What she doesn't know, however, is that the tsundere Regent who longs to kill her, the loyal Great General guarding the borders, and the deeply prejudiced Prime Minister are all the very fur babies she could never let go of in her past life. Her seemingly absurd, self-destructive antics end up punishing the wicked, causing the pets who once held grudges against her to switch sides one by one, convince themselves she is enduring humiliation to save the realm, and revere her as a wise and visionary ruler.
