The Empress Dowager is resting and preparing to give birth at the imperial villa. When the time comes, the Emperor personally leaves the palace to tend to her, holding high expectations for the child in her womb. After the baby is born, the Emperor names him himself and issues an edict granting a general amnesty to pray for his blessings. Mistakenly believing that the Emperor is keeping another woman outside the palace, the Empress sends people to locate her. Taking advantage of the Emperor's absence, the Empress leads her followers to break into the Empress Dowager's room, allowing her subordinates to hurl verbal abuse, physically discipline, and humiliate her in every way. The Empress Dowager reveals her true identity, but instead of believing her, the Empress and her party intensify their torment.
