"Wind Rises in Yizhu" tells the growth story of Liu Yanning, a young cadre stationed in a rural village. Centering on the conflict between heritage preservation and commercial development in Yizhu Village, it explores grassroots governance and rural revitalization. Two contrasting approaches intertwine: Jia Yuxiu records daily affairs in a notebook, protecting the village by treating neighbors as family; while Liu Junhu and Zhou Yuan collude to exploit local resources and culture. Amidst this struggle, Liu Yanning transforms from an outsider into a true villager.
