Lin Ye has loved auto repair since childhood, but her father aches seeing her suffer and refuses to let her do dirty, exhausting repair work. The peers on the old street also harbor widespread gender bias, convinced that girls can never excel in this trade. When a baffling malfunction arrives that stymies every other master mechanic, Lin Ye braves everyone's doubts and successfully repairs the car with her solid expertise. Proving herself through sheer skill, she turns public opinion around, makes peace with her rival Zhao Lei, and bridges traditional repair experience with modern electronic control technology—proving that craftsmanship is defined solely by capability, never by gender.
