On New Year's Eve, the elder sister Zhang Liping, far away in another place, takes a train home to celebrate the New Year, but her husband instead drives away her Mercedes-Benz in advance to show off in the village. The car inadvertently plunges into the village entrance river, and upon hearing the news, the parents-in-law actually clap and cheer at the sunken car, cursing that it would be good if she met with an accident so that all family property would be the son's—yet they do not know that the daughter-in-law is currently on the train, and what is in the car is their own son and another woman. An accident tore open all the lies and calculations in the marriage. Zhang Liping calmly collects evidence, preserves property, and sues for divorce, letting all people who harmed her receive the price they deserve. This work is adapted from the Tomato Novel "New Year's Eve, The Elder Sister's Mercedes-Benz Plunged Into the River"
