Six-and-a-half-year-old Yadan has lived at the Baigong Academy on Tingfeng Ridge since childhood. One day, carrying five letters from her master, she descends the mountain alone to seek out five senior disciples who have not returned for years. Along the way, with her astonishing memory, meticulous observation, and simple, sincere words, she helps everyone untie their emotional knots and rediscover their passion for woodworking, weaving and dyeing, pastry-making, mechanisms, and pottery. In the end, they all gather at the Baigong Craft Exhibition to complete their joint work "Returning Home." Meanwhile, Yadan gradually comes to understand that truly returning home is not about forcing anyone back, but letting those who wish to return find their own way home.
