Her mother-in-law has been paralyzed for years, and the Shen family draws lots every year to decide who cares for her. Yet for eight consecutive years, the Eldest Daughter-in-law, Lin Zhi, always drew the lot. She contributed both money and labor and subsidized her two brothers-in-law, only to discover the entire family had conspired to cheat. Waking up to the truth, Lin Zhi cuts off their cards, demands her debts back, files for divorce, and sues! A medical record soon uncovers a shocking scam: her mother-in-law was never paralyzed at all, having faked her illness for decades to guilt-trip her eldest son and leech off her daughter-in-law. Eight years of blind devotion settled in a single day—this time, she will reclaim not just her money, but her own life!
