Eighteen years ago, Xu Jiang fled after committing a robbery and ran a red light, colliding with a van driven by cargo driver Li Tianming. Arrested by the police, Xu Jiang witnessed his vehicle explode and mistakenly believed his four-year-old daughter, Xu Mengyao, perished in the blaze, pinning all his hatred on Li Tianming. Meanwhile, Li Tianming lost his own daughter, Li Wei, in the accident, but rescued Xu Mengyao. To protect the child, he concealed her identity, renamed her Li Ruoshui, and raised her as his own. Eighteen years later, Xu Jiang is released from prison, establishes the Xu Group, and becomes the wealthiest tycoon in Jiangcheng. He has never stopped seeking vengeance against Li Tianming; once he tracks him down, he tortures him relentlessly, ultimately beating him into a vegetative state.
