You Dump My Golden Fish Soup, I Become a Ten-Thousand-Yuan Household
In the 1980s, Lu Qing, an old fisherman, painstakingly prepares an extraordinarily valuable golden soup made with rare sea dragon ingredients. His materialistic daughter-in-law despises it and dumps it into the slop bucket, while his own son considers him uncultured and tosses him just ten yuan. Heartbroken, Lu Qing resolutely returns to his hometown. Relying on decades of coastal foraging experience and a keen eye for valuable seafood, he braves the treacherous Blackstone Reef, breaks unscrupulous merchants' monopolies, and develops scientific aquaculture. He rises from a down-and-out farmer to a seafood magnate, humiliates his materialistic relatives, and seizes the opportunities of China's reform and opening-up era to reclaim his dignity and rewrite his destiny.
