You Marry Her for One Year, I Won't Wait Anymore
On the day of registering their marriage, Xu Zhixia waited forty minutes for Zhou Xu at the Civil Affairs Bureau, only to see her best friend Chen Wei post their marriage certificate with Zhou Xu online. Zhou Xu explained it was to help Chen Wei's child get into school: they would register their marriage for a year before getting a divorce, and the wedding banquet would proceed as planned. Xu Zhixia discovered that her family and brother had known all along and conspired to keep it hidden. Decisively, she cancelled the wedding, moved out of the marital home, demanded a refund for the renovation costs, broke up with Zhou Xu, and went to work in Hangzhou. Zhou Xu repeatedly demanded that she return, but Xu Zhixia refused. Only then did Zhou Xu realize she was truly heartbroken and determined to leave. Filled with deep regret, he divorced Chen Wei and rushed to Hangzhou to win her back, but it was already too late—Xu Zhixia had already registered her marriage with Gu Yanchuan, who had always silently waited for and guarded her.
