A female God of War from the immortal realm violates heavenly laws and is banished to the mortal world, transmigrating into Bai Xiyue, the wife of rich heir Su Yicheng. She discovers that the original host was a submissive love-brain who suffered deeply under her scumbag husband and lived in misery. The God of War vows to help the original host realize her self-worth and focus solely on her career. But as she interacts with her playboy husband Su Yicheng, she realizes he isn't truly rotten at all. Once Su Yicheng's slacker playboy disguise slips away, the two come to admire one another and fall in love over time. In the end, the God of War chooses to remain in the mortal world to embrace true happiness.
