Antique painting restorer Xie Linchuan unexpectedly meets a little girl named Zhaozhao from a damaged ancient painting. As soon as she sees him, she calls him Daddy. She can hear the voices of the past preserved in ancient paintings and can even step into the damaged painting realms. As ancient paintings are meticulously restored one by one, lost names, dusty memories of the past, the silent nine secret scrolls, and the mysterious ninth painting realm gradually emerge. Xie Linchuan finally realizes that Zhaozhao is no ordinary painting spirit, but the core Zhaoyun incarnation of the "Scroll of Mountains, Rivers, and All Spirits." To give Zhaozhao a real home, what he must restore has never been just ancient paintings, but also the people and stories forgotten by time.
