Internationally renowned genetics authority Xia Zhongjie returns in glory after making a major medical breakthrough. To evade potential attacks from foreign powers, Xia Zhongjie conceals his identity and transports his critical scientific research samples to the institute incognito. On the road, he is rear-ended by Su Xinyu, an institute director who was actually on her way to pick him up at the airport. Arrogant and ill-tempered, Su Xinyu mistakes Xia Zhongjie for a nobody, insults him, and incites bystanders to attack him. To protect his research samples, Xia Zhongjie is forced to compromise and endure her abuse, which only fuels the arrogance of Su Xinyu and the mob, leading to his severe injury and hospitalisation. Xia Zhongjie's daughter, Xia Siya, vows to track down the culprits and avenge her father.
