Chi Bang, an orphaned hustler, joins a time-travel experiment for 50,000 yuan. Sent back 25 years, he discovers he was actually swapped at birth and is the true son of the city's richest tycoon. However, each interference with the past erases his presence in reality, causing even his closest friends to gradually forget him. To find his mother, he uses 15-minute projections to help a critically ill girl named Xiao Man, a kitchen apprentice named A Cheng, and a medical student named Xiao Ya, leaving behind traces so people will remember him. As an accident in Dr. Bai Xi's experiment comes to light, Chi Bang realizes correcting his origins will destroy the lives changed by his presence. In the end, he chooses to preserve the past, repairs the blood-written letter left by his mother, brings the truth to light, reunites with his parents, and protects the happiness of both families.
