Chen Wang, an agricultural college graduate, returned to his hometown to grow tea, working hard in Qingxi Village for two years. However, during the year-end dividend distribution, because he personally took forty percent of the profits, he was publicly besieged by jealous villagers and driven out of the ancestral hall. Amidst his disappointment, an elder from a neighboring village came to visit late at night, bringing out an ancestral title deed to invite the protagonist to grow tea in Houtian Village. From thirty mu of barren land to a hundred-mu organic tea garden, from a broken factory to a provincial gold-award brand—Chen Wang put down deep roots in Houtian Village. As for Qingxi Village, which drove him away, its tea gardens became barren, its young people left, and only regretful faces remained in the ancestral hall.
