When the dust settled, I personally carved bone tallies to console the souls who had died with unredressed grievances over the past fifteen years, wishing peace to those who suffered wrongful deaths. Yet worldly affairs always harbor unresolved mysteries. Among the neatly arranged bone tallies in the mortuary, an anonymous tally quietly emerged—empty and belonging to no one. Having examined bones and solved cases for half my life, I believed my naked eyes could discern every wound and an ulna could deduce the truth. Only then did I realize that wrongful cases in this world may not all be cleared, and worldly secrets are never fully exhausted. Justice may be delayed, but it is never absent; while unknown fates and hidden remnants remain an eternal warning against complacency.
