Gu Changshuo, a seemingly useless handyman, possessed the Primordial Chaos Sword Bone. Under the pretext of a demon bone devouring its master, Immortal Venerable Qingyue publicly extracted his bone and bestowed it upon the prodigy Lin Bai, casting Gu Changshuo into the Demon Sealing Forbidden Ground as a living sacrifice. In the depths of the forbidden territory, the thousand-year-old soul within the demon bone awoke, revealing the truth of an ancient conspiracy: the Immortal Venerable's so-called ascension was actually an apocalyptic sacrifice to devour heaven and attain divinity through a cataclysmic lightning tribulation, treating the entire sect as sacrificial offerings. With a seven-day deadline, Gu Changshuo breaks through the seal, buries the bones, alters array runes, and channels the lightning tribulation in reverse, letting the soul lamp expose a millennium of heinous crimes. At the Ascension Ceremony, as beliefs shatter, he rises against the tribulation, engulfing the heavens in a black tide and burying the entire immortal sect to settle this century-old score.
