Chen Laoshi, an honest man who insists on using quality oil and fresh meat, sets up a stall outside a suburban construction site selling boxed meals for 14 yuan. The neighboring vendor, Zhao Qiang, sells low-cost meals for 12 yuan using inferior ingredients. Fearing competition, Zhao teams up with his nephew Zhao Xiaoliang to spread rumors and harass him. Despite Chen's honest cooking, he faces suspicion from workers and vandalism at his stall. However, several workers soon suffer severe stomachaches from Zhao's food.
