Returning to his hometown for the New Year, Shen Lie discovers anomalies in the mountain forest and signs of an unstable snow slope. Defying misunderstanding, he organizes the villagers to evacuate overnight, averting an avalanche catastrophe. Shortly after, wild beast attacks plague the village. Shen Lie leads the villagers to blockade roads, keep night vigils, and comb the mountains, only to uncover illegal traps hidden in the wilderness. The truth behind the death of Forest Ranger Uncle Lin three years ago finally surfaces. Working alongside Uncle Lin's daughter, Lin Wan, Shen Lie gathers evidence and brings the perpetrators to justice. Taking up the mantle of forest ranger, Shen Lie steps forward to protect this mountain forest. This is a story of justice, responsibility, and legacy: the mountain remembers everyone who guards it.
