A decade ago, Zane Warren, once hailed as the God of Soccer, fell from grace in a match-fixing scandal. With his right leg shattered and his mother dead, he was reduced to begging on the streets. Ten years later, Tessa Blake, owner of the Storm Wolves FC, recognizes his genius and invites him to join the club. Stepping in as coach, Zane leads the Storm Wolves from the City League all the way to the National League, where he faces his old nemesis, Nolan Pierce. Desperate to stop him, Nolan stoops to doping, poisoning, and even mechanically augmented players. Backed by his senior mentor Gavin Ward and his loyal teammates, Zane overcomes every obstacle, defeats the Fire Dragons in the National League final, and exposes Nolan's match-fixing ring, earning his rival a lifetime ban. Reclaiming his title as the God of Soccer, Zane also finds true love with Tessa.
