After marriage, Lin Xi lives with her husband Chen Yu and her sister-in-law Chen Nuo. Pampered, lazy, and self-willed, Chen Nuo never does any housework, leaving the home in complete disarray. Lin Xi shoulders all the chores alone, but when she suggests dividing the tasks, Chen Yu blames her to protect his sister. Later, Lin Xi's rent money goes missing, and when she suspects Chen Nuo, she ends up being wrongly accused instead. Utterly heartbroken, she asks for a divorce. When Chen Nuo admits her fault, Chen Yu finally comes to his senses, sincerely apologizes, and promises to end his favoritism and share the domestic chores. Lin Xi chooses to give him another chance, and peace is restored to the family.
