In my previous life, during a cold wave warning of minus thirty degrees, my roommate Zhou Qi insisted on opening the window for ventilation. Even though Li Xin repeatedly warned that not closing the windows during a northern winter could freeze someone to death, she was blatantly ignored and mocked with remarks like "the rich young lady is just being pretentious." After waking up freezing several nights, Li Xin bought a combination lock to lock the window shut. Unexpectedly, Zhou Qi used this excuse to climb onto the rooftop, tearfully accusing Li Xin before the whole school of using power and privilege to bully her, while their two other roommates cemented Li Xin's guilt with their silence. Ultimately, Li Xin was disciplined by the school, labeled a "bully," and committed suicide by jumping off the building. Opening her eyes once more, Li Xin has returned to the day the cold wave struck.
