On the eve of the wedding, Lu Zheng was set up by his fiancée, Shen Wanying, and his younger brother, Lu Mingyu, who used a pirate prank to test his devotion. Subsequently trapped in a locked cage, he discovered that Shen Wanying was actually marrying Lu Mingyu. Despite Lu Zheng's desperate cries for help, both Shen Wanying and his mother turned a blind eye to his peril, while the diving instructor was pressured into looking away. Just as Lu Zheng was on the verge of death, the diving instructor Zhao Hai secretly rescued him and falsely reported that he had drowned. After recovering, Lu Zheng reported the crime and pressed charges against Shen Wanying, Lu Mingyu, and his mother.
