I can hear other people's inner thoughts. Late at night, when a water pipe burst, a repairman came to fix it. My boyfriend provoked and mocked him, completely unaware that the man was a murderer on the run. Relying on my telepathy to sense the imminent danger, I desperately tried to diffuse the situation to protect myself. Yet at the critical moment between life and death, I discovered that the repairman was merely a pawn—the person who truly wanted to kill me was my own boyfriend. Terrified that his embezzlement of company funds would be exposed, he had coerced the killer into coming to murder me. When irrefutable evidence in court exposed the entire conspiracy, having survived the ordeal, I made a clean break and escaped for good.
