At birth, the argali lamb Blood Crest witnesses his mother Houxi being killed by a black she-wolf to save him, with her blood splashing onto his forehead. Driven by vengeance, he deliberately grinds his horns straight in rock crevices, twice repelling the she-wolf and becoming hailed as a hero. However, young rams imitate his modified horns, leading to fatal clashes during the rutting season. Seeking revenge for her own cub, the she-wolf relentlessly slaughters lambs, prompting the flock to abandon Blood Crest and migrate. Blood Crest endures bitter wounds to trap the wolf, but while asleep, he is betrayed by his flock and ambushed by the wolf. Following his death, Jinqiangwei sacrifices herself for him, and the flock returns to their timid existence.
