An adopted young girl endures chronic favoritism and neglect at home, where all good food is saved for her older brother. Silently swallowing her grievances, she comforts herself just to survive each day. By chance, she discovers that her birthmark and age perfectly match a missing child notice from parents who have searched seven years for their lost daughter. Remembering she is not her foster parents' biological child, she gathers the courage to save up money and make the phone call, hoping to find her real family and change her destiny.
