Liu Guixiang was married to Zhao Defa for forty years, enduring beatings, verbal abuse, and swallowed grievances, without even the right to fall sick. It wasn't until Zhao Defa shoved their pregnant daughter-in-law to the ground that her son, Chen Zhigang, resolutely took her away, and a black ledger revealed forty years of concealed hard-earned money.
