Starting Today, No More Overtime is an urban workplace light comedy. Office worker Lin Xiaoman, who has long suffered from staying up late working overtime, breaks free from the shackles of equating overtime with dedication after the new director Zhou Yan enforces a 6 PM office-clearing policy. Facing coworkers' skepticism, corporate pressure, and the threat of bottom-performer elimination, she teams up with Lao Zhao and Xiao Chen to break out of the trap of counting hours. By proactively optimizing workflows and researching automation tools, she proves with efficiency that leaving work on time does not equal a lack of dedication. In the end, Lin Xiaoman leads the team to win a crucial project, not only keeping her job, but also making the entire department realize that working efficiently is the greatest respect one can have for the workplace.
