Freelance illustrator Xia Zhihe moves into a quiet old alley and happens to meet Lin Qingyan, the owner of the Qingyan Secondhand Bookstore who is dedicated to restoring ancient books. Lively and warm, Xia Zhihe melts the chill of the bookstore. Together, they study book restoration and chronicle the alley's daily life, quietly forming a mutual bond. When an unexpected demolition notice hits the alley, Lin Qingyan feels lost about protecting the shop, but Xia Zhihe stands firmly by his side as they relocate and rebuild together. Later, discovering a precious ancestral edition and learning of his late grandfather's unfulfilled dream of hosting an ancient book exhibition, they successfully organize the showcase with the help of Grandpa Chen and Zhou Mingyuan, sharing traditional craftsmanship with the world. Through dedication and heritage, the two draw closer, realize their feelings, and begin a warm new chapter for the bookstore.
