A migrant worker hurries back to his hometown for his mother's funeral, just as the mysterious hauntings from a dry well that have gripped the village for three years resurface. The haunting turns out to be an elaborate human facade, and the unidentified remains inside the dry well do not belong to the woman rumored to have fallen in. A closed cold case of an accidental fall is reopened, bringing to light official corruption, intentional silencing, colluded perjury, and a tormenting, guilt-ridden sin buried in his late mother's heart for three long years.
